Originally from Romania, I’m an Interaction and Product Designer passionate about AI, about data, and telling stories using data. My expertise is researching and designing applications with big data and visualize this data in a human way. I'm passionate about doing good in the hope that the world will become a better place for future generations step by step. At Merck I worked as an Associate Director in UX Design and received the Merck Global Health fellowship to research and design a Patient Registry for Rare Diseases of South Africa NGO in order to put my skills to good use and help children living with rare diseases. Recently, I finished a Research Software Engineer position at MIT Media Lab, where I had the opportunity to talk to underserved communities in Boston, do extensive research and design a visualization based on the data that we gathered. By giving a voice to underrepresented communities, I believe we can have an impact and empower our communities to feel stronger and safer. Currently, I work as a Product Designer at Intuitive Surgical. I'm an NYU ITP (Human Computer Interaction) MPS graduate and hold also a Bachelors and Masters of Engineering in Industrial Design from Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. My NYU project “Fibonacci Galaxy” was invited to participate at the World Science Festival in New York City in 2016. I was awarded the NYU Provost Global Research fellowship to do research in Computational Design and Neuroscience at the Tel Aviv University in the summer of 2016.
